Hi, my name is Maurizio. Welcome to my website.

I was born in Milan in 1955, and live in the province of Bergamo. I started becoming interested in photography in 1975, when my father lent me his camera, an old but legendary AGFA ISOLETTE II, for a work trip to Algeria. In that period, thanks to a small lab obtained from a cubby-hole placed at my disposal by the town priest, I was always able to develop by own pictures, including black and white ones. Over the years I have learnt to love travelling, developing a passion for nature, animals and life in the open.

Indeed, in 1986, after my first son Manuel was born, my wife Cristina and I decided to buy a campervan, so as not to have to give up life in the open air, for which I have always been known and which now also characterises my entire family (our closest friends affectionately refer to us as "vagabonds").

Since 1990 I have also been interested in videocameras, first analog then digital. Since 1993, not happy with the open air and earth alone, I started practicing underwater photography, obtaining two specialised international certificates (Padi U/W Photographer and Photosub). Since then all my dives have been aimed exclusively at photography. In 2000, after a lot of nagging from my wife, I managed to kit out my Canon MV1 videocamera and so venture into underwater video recordings.

Since 2001 I have been devoting myself with a passion to the recording and video/audio editing of my films, and at the same time I select, classify, archive and develop my own photographs. Since the end of 2003 my son Manuel (deservedly appointed webmaster) and I have personally been looking after this website.Since 2005, after air, earth and underwater elements, I add sky element, starting the fascinating world of photograph astronomy. During the past few years I have frequently "renewed" my video-photography equipment, and can currently count on:
